The jetlag has begun. I was in bed by 9pm and up at 6am. Long day ahead. However, I did make it safe and sound back home to Los Angeles.

It rained on me and Jay Nash for 3 weeks straight, and it was raining when I arrived back in the US. It’s still raining today. I’m officially over the rain at this point. Stop raining!!!

My new record , Amateur, is set for release May 1!! Very, very exciting and very, very soon!!!

The first leg of my US tour for the new record, Amateur , starts THIS FRIDAY in Indianapolis with the lovely and talented David Berkeley (www.davidberkeley.com ). I’m so excited I can hardly stand it. We’ll both be playing the WFPK Live at Lunch on Friday, April 27, 12pm , and that’s open to whoever gets there first. http://www.wfpk.org/live-lunch/ .We were unable to secure a date in Louisville this trip because of Derby Week, but we will be playing a proper show in Lexington on Sunday, April 29 (MY BIRTHDAY!!!!) , if you wanna make the trip over. Jay Nash and I will be playing some shows on the east coast in late June leading up to Rock for the River, the benefit concert he organizes every year in Clayton, NY for the St. Lawrence River Foundation, so be sure and check those as well. March 18, 2pm PST , I’ll be performing a Stageit show from my living room. I’m already lining up a few folks to drop by and sing a little with me… we’ll see how that pans out. On a personal note, I just returned from the slopes of Vail, CO, where I skied my ass off and had a wonderful time with my mom, aunt and our very good friend Juan Pablo from Venezuela. Oh, you gotta meet JP sometime. What a character. He sells furs and he skis… there’s really nothing the dude can’t do. I only fell down when I was afraid. Mostly I was fearless. That’s the key, right? To ACT AS IF.

I’m very excited about the coming year… please stay tuned to gstarr.com, and keep checking tour dates. I’ll be joining forces with David Berkeley, Jay Nash, Maia Sharp and Adrianne Gonzales over the coming months for some great shows, and they’ll vary in configuration. So come to all of them!!!

Happy 2012! I have decided that 2012 is gonna be all about me.

Here’s what’s new on the horizon as of January 4, 2012.

WE DID IT! Thanks to all of you who PLEDGED on my upcoming release, “Amateur“, we’re into the new year with some legs. I’m hiring a publicist to help me spread the word about the new music, and I’m making tour plans.

I’m stoked to be playing the 30A songwriter festival in Florida Jan. 12-16. Michelle Malone, David Berkeley, Angel Snow, Antingone Rising will be there… my buddies!! They haven’t announced the venue info yet, but stay tuned. Come see us if you’re near Ft. Walton!

For FEBRUARY, I’ll be hitting the road with my buddy Jake Newton. www.jakenewton.com. We’ll be doing a solo acoustic tour up and down the WEST COAST, and most of the venues will be house concerts.
